Camp 78 2025 Need-to-know Details

1. What to Prepare Each Morning

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable, athletic-style clothing (gym/recreation clothes).
  • Closed-toed shoes are required (e.g., sneakers). No flip-flops or sandals.
  • Apply sunscreen at home before dropping off your camper.

What to Pack:

  • A backpack for carrying belongings.
  • A sack lunch. Please note this is a change from previous years; lunch will not be provided by the camp.
  • A full water bottle.
  • Extra sunscreen for reapplication during the day.
  • (Optional) An alternative snack if your child cannot eat the snack provided that day.

IMPORTANT: Please label all items with your camper's name, including their backpack, lunch/lunchbox, and water bottle.

What to Leave at Home:

  • All electronics (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.).
  • Bibles (scripture will be provided on screens and handouts).

2. Morning Drop-Off

  • Time: Drop-off starts at 8:45 AM each morning. Please do not arrive earlier.
  • Location: The Atrium of the Church building. You may use entrances A, C, or D.
  • Procedure: You must park your vehicle and walk your camper inside for drop-off.
  • Medications: A Medical Team will be available at a station in the drop-off area if you need to drop off or discuss any medications for your camper.

3. During the Camp Day

Food and Drink:

  • Lunch: Campers must bring their own lunch each day.
  • Snacks: A mid-morning snack will be provided by the camp. Please review the snack menu in advance. If the daily snack is not suitable for your child due to allergies or preference, please pack a clearly labeled alternative.
  • Hydration & Heat Safety: Campers will have regular access to shaded water stations. To ensure safety, outdoor time will be limited to 45-minute intervals.

4. Afternoon Pick-Up

  • Time: Pick-up is at 4:00 PM.
  • Location: The Atrium (the same as drop-off). Please follow the signs to keep traffic moving in one direction through the building.
  • Security Card is MANDATORY:
    • You will receive your family's Security Card on Monday morning at drop-off.
    • To pick up your camper, you must present this Security Card. A photo of the card on your phone is also acceptable.
    • Feel free to text a picture of the card to anyone on your approved pick-up list.
    • For the safety of the children, we will NOT release a camper to anyone who does not have the Security Card or is not on the approved pick-up list. No exceptions will be made.
